Monday the 4th of august we had planned to visit Emmen and hope to catch both Gripens which had arrived the week before. The Gripens were in Switserland to test for the swiss airforce to help them decide which aircraft will replace the F5E/F in due time. The weather upon arrival was not that special and stayed that way all day but thankfully it didn't rain and the temprature was a very comfortable 24 ˚C. Unfortunately the runway changed every 4 seconds and were not able to respond that quickly to change spots.

We also saw the PC21's from Sion which were here on deployment. They flew several missions but due to the fact that they changed the runway that much weren't all that lucky with aircraft taxiing by towards the runway and we were left with some take-off shots instead. We only caught 1 of the Gripens in front of the lens that day and the other 1 stayed tucked away in its hangar for the day.Patrouille de Suisse did a practice demo in the morning at Langen and a Hornet arrived for RUAG and that was all for the day.
