The Netherlands airforce museum is now situated at camp Zeist near the town of Soesterberg right beside highway A28. In the near future the museum will move to former airbase Soesterberg and will have the ability to show a greater amount of aircraft on permanent display than they have now and will be able to simulate operational conditions for certain aircraft.

Soesterberg airbase is former home to 32 Fighter Group who withdrew their aircraft in the mid nineties back to the States and is presently still home to the dutch Chinook and Cougars but they will move to Gilze-Rijen and leaving the airfield that was the birthplace of dutch military flying. Therefor to preserve this piece of history it is an excellent oppertunity to move the museum to Soesterberg.
